ZAO WOU-KI

Zao Wou-Ki (1920-1913), or 赵无极, is a Chinese painter who took on French nationality in 1964.

Zao Wou-Ki is one of the key figures in abstract lyricism. Through his work, he acheived the synthesis of the oriental tradition and the plastic and poetic aims of occidental abstract lyricism. He is currently considered one of the greatest western modern painters.
